Name: Shelly
Breed: Mix
Sex: Female
Size: 40-50 lbs
Age: Unknown - 2 to 4 yrs old?

Shelly was found on a shell road. She was left beside the road with a plate of table scraps to eat,
and a bowl of water. She was left in an isolated location, about 5 miles from the nearest house. This
area is frequented by panthers, and other wild animals. She was covered with fleas and ticks, and it
was obvious that she just weened a litter of puppies. She was very thin, and frightened. Shelly is a
good dog, but she requires a great deal of training, but most importantly she needs someone to
love her. She seems to get along with everyone. She does good in the house, but not in a crate.
She is still a little fearful of a leash, and other items. She has never shown any signs of aggression
to people or pets. She is fearful of some things, but that can all be worked out in time. She has
already come a long way, and is improving every day. Shelly has really suffered in her past, and she
needs someone that is able to devote some time, and love to make her future a better one. She is a
very lovable dog, and likes to cuddle. She has also proved to be a good watch dog. She loved being
outdoors, but likes to come in at night. Shelly has been placed in a temporary home where she is
exposed to horses, cats, and other dogs, and she is doing fine with them.
